About Me
My name is Umar Azizadah, I am a 12th grader interested in computer science, this being my first ever year of taking gita.
Academics

I have a 4.0+ average gpa throughout highschool. Last year I took AP Calculus AB and AP Lang. This year I'm taking AP Gov, AP Lit, AP stats, and AP CompSci Principles.
Hobbies
____________
Some of my hobbies consist of rock climbing, photoshop graphic design, and coding. I also enjoy travelling, trying new foods, and hiking. Social time is a big value of mine, as I love hanging out with my friends.
Future Goals

After highschool, I hope to get into UCI, UCSD, or UCLA where I will persue computer science. Through computer science, I aspire to be a software enginner. By the end of this year, I want to end with all A's in my classes and will strive for a 4 or 5 on my AP tests.
Extracurricular

I am involved in multiple extracurriculars: Stocks and Funds Club (president), Japanese Club (social media manager), Helping Children in Haiti Club (vice president), Bead Buddies Club (secretary), French Club (vice president), and key club (member). And from summer to now, I have been working on Harvard CS50x course, I'm almost done and will receive the completion certificate soon. I have 100 hours of community service where most of them derive from volunteering a Riverise Free Clininc and the rest from key club.
What is GITA
The Global I.T. Academy creates an empowering and intellectually stimulating environment for students. The goal is to encourage students to employ their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in addressing genuine technological challenges. The Global I.T. Academy is a comprehensive, multidimensional initiative that takes into account the holistic development and educational needs of its participants, drawing insights from higher education, business, and the local community.
Importance of Gita
As technology quickly advances and the rise of tech careers increase, more people should be accustomed to computer science. GITA is a perfect introduction class to the world of coding and computer science, multiple coding languages are taught and problem solving is constantly excercised.
What I am learning this year
This year, being in gita 2, we are focusing more on web development. I have been learning html along with CSS and Javascript
